Dear Families, 

I’m Al Camilleri-Lloyd, your Family Worker at Strathmore. I’m currently working across all campuses (Monday-Wednesday). My role here will be to help our learners and their families get the best out of our school and the local community, join with other services that help develop your child’s talents and skills and work with your family to help support the best outcomes in your journey through school years. 

Support offered by a Family Worker is:

• Championing parent to parent support through coffee mornings (we will send out a date for our next coffee morning soon!)

• Offering support with applications such as Blue Badge, Disability Living Allowance, PIP, Freedom passes and various others.

• Signposting families to local organisations and charities that can provide other support. 

• Facilitating and supporting relationships between the home, school, healthcare, and social services. 

• Support with funding applications for outside of school activities. 

• Providing information about after school clubs and school holiday activities

• Keeping School Health Care Plans up to date. 

• Informal emotional support and general advice.
