Hi all! Welcome to the Key Stage 3 page.

If your child is coming into Aquila (Grey Court Campus) or Vega Class (St Richard Reynolds Campus) then they are likely to be between the ages of 11-14 and are either transferring from another placement or home.

It is normal to feel anxious / tentative / excited for your child to be starting our school or 'moving up' to Secondary school. Whatever emotions you or your child are feeling, we will be here to support you along the way.

Our class groups rage in size, need and abilities. 5 years ago, we only had enough learners for one KS3 class, and now we have two full classes. This can vary year-on-year, depending on the cohort; ages and needs of learners.

In September 2020, we started following our own personalised Strathmore Curriculum Framework, written specifically for our cohort of learners. You will be able to see your child’s learning and progress on an app called ‘Earwig’, which you will have access to from home.

Once all the learners have settled into their classes, we welcome parents into school and class for a range of events, training and coffee mornings, which give opportunities for you to observe some techniques and strategies staff use or talk to other families who have children at the same campus.
